Smoking and Driving

While most jerkoffs that talk on a cell phone while driving deserve to have a hot piece of lead reamed up their *** for being a danger to society (that's "hyperbole" for those of you less-astute readers), I don't think there should be a law against it. After all, I can think of situations where it might be necessary to be talking on a cell phone while driving. It's a reactionary law.
i think they should ban women on cell phones in large SUVs. for some reason, they always seem to be the troublemakers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

car accidents are the #1 cause of death for teens, so age does have something to do with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i think age is a good gauge of experience, especially when it comes to driving.
yes but raising the age limit... all you'll be doing is raising the age that most teens die. Instead of the #1 death being car accidents for 16/17/18 year olds, it will change to 18/19/20 year olds that have car accidents as their #1 death. You can't get expirence just by raising the age level... We just need better drivers training, it is unbelievably easy to get your lincesnce. I didn't even go over 25mph when I took my test, and didn't spend even 10 minutes in the car!

in ILL you cant drive and talk on the cell if your under 18, i honestly dont think kids should have there lisence till they are 17, i say 16 they get permit at least 200 hours, supervised
I get my permit at 16, then keep it for a full year, then i recieve my license. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

GOD DAMMIT **** KENTUCKY!

they said smoking causes .9% of all car accidents.....lol....but messing with the heat and air conditioner causes 2.3%

New rule, your not allowed to change your cars temperature unless you are FULLY stopped, Car OFF and keys sitting ON THE ROAD. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Kids:rolleyes:

You're going to do it anyways so why ***** and moan about it. Go do something about it.

One day smoking will be illegal. Remember the government is there to protect us. Even from out own stupidity. You may not agree with it, that's why there is a voting system.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers, ever read farenhieght 451 or something in school?

I don't agree, they'll keep it around because they make so much cash off it, it really wouldn't surprise me at all if they legalized weed so they could tax it... but that's a different discussion from about 60 other threads... please, no-one start another...
I don't meen within our life time. Maybe one day our society will advance much further than it is and will realise the harm it causes. This may even be when money is no longer an issue. It is no where near our timeline. But one day it will happen. If we are still around that is:)

I agree with you on the cigarette thing, but pot will never be legal for public use...in both cases the govt makes WAAAAY to much money off for anything to change...

either way, americans are too much of a bunch of pu$$ies to do anything about anything...we just let the govt push and push, soon we wont have any liberties, and chances are 99% of the population wont have a problem as long as we have out magic box and la-z-boy..fuc king pitiful

omg almost everything is illegal these days, people are getting way to scared/paranoid, people are trying to get rid of anything remotely bad and that doesn't agree with their own values. Seroiusly. Here in MN we now have a 75 cent state tax on each pack of cigs sold. I really feel bad for that people that like smoking, it's a tax that supposedly makes up for the cost in health care smokers cost the system(no I don't smoke). People can get in trouble for their words, and expressing themselves, Freedom of speech has been lost. I just got kicked out of school for the last two months of school for things that I said and the way I expressed myself(and i've never been in a fight in my life), you can no longer joke that "you're gonna kill that person", even as a joke, they hand out suspensions for things like that now, because just because your not threatning that person it's directed to, but to the other people that it may have tramatized by hearing it(I was homeschooled the rest of the year), I know that I was in school, but whatever happened to that one ruling a judge made that stated: "Civil liberties do not stop at the schoolyard gates" /END RANT.
Well here that tax isnt imposed yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but it will be shortly im assuming //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I live in west central MN, about 12 miles from South Dakota so when it does I'll just head over there for my smokes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i also think they should require more behind-the-wheel experience and have a more rigorous test. however, thats kind of a moot point for most people b/c the way i drove during the driving test is nothing like the way i drive now. i think raising the driving age limit would be beneficial b/c 18yr olds are generally more mature than 16yr olds.

you can drive when your 14 here in SD, but for our drivers exam we have to drive 6 hours with an instructer and spend a week in a classroom and then drive with parents for 3 months.

I disagree with people that think that age has everthing to do with everything, I believe that it should be how mature the kid is, but since the government can't know for a fact how mature everyone is, they just put ages on everything. BTW here in MN we have that cellphone law too starting jan 1st
ya since they cant tell how mature a kid is they need to make it 17 untill they get there lisence, i dont know how old you are, but **** i know a crap load of immature 17 year olds probably about 40% of them are immature,

the laws they changed this year for driving here

only one passenger under the age of 18 if you are 16,

no cells if under 18,

and trying to pass the smoking thing
