well heres what happen i emailed this guy on a few overlay sets for my GTP, and there were 4 sets i wanted, all 7 each, so i told him i wanted to order them, then he said we can make a deal outside ebay and ill get free shipping minus 2-3 dollar or something, well i said ok, then i send him 26, he said they will be shipped out, i send him an email i think wenesday asking for a trackin number, no response, then friday again, no response, then yesteryday askin when i will get them, no response, then i sent him this email today

Hey, I am sorry to say this but I beleive that you have not sent the overlays, it has been 7 business days and I have not received them nor a response from you, this is the LAST email I will send you before I contact ebay and tell them what happened. I sent them one email explaining the scenario and they sent one back and if they said it was the case, even though it isnt through ebay, they will still take some sort of action! Sorry I feel this way but I would like some kind of response.

wtf else can i do? he said he would ship them out monday on sunday when i ordered them

eBay takes a pretty hard stand against off-site transactions. The User Agreement states fairly plainly that users are recommended against engaging in off-site trades as once they have been removed from their sales venue they can offer a buyer no recourse should a problem arise. If your seller has half a brain in his head (the fact that he is potentially a thief notwithstanding) he/she will know that as well - an obvious bluff is generally never good form.

As it is not clear exactly how you paid your seller (we've all simply assumed you PayPaled the $$) I'll ask: Did you use PayPal? If so, did you use a credit card as your payment source?

PayPal, though owned by eBay, takes a much different stand regarding such sales out of necessity. PayPal is an accepted payment vessel too many places for their protections to only apply on eBay-direct trades.

If you did, in fact use PayPal, were I you I would lodge your complaint with them immediately. If you sourced the payment from a credit card you can lodge a complaint with your credit card issuer as well - but wait to do so. Use that route as a backup in case PayPal doesn't help you out. If you try both at once as soon as PayPal knows that you're going through Visa (or whoever your card is from) to try and recoup your money PayPal will notify you that they're happy to let your card issuer's hounds do the chasing and from that point on they'll offer no further help.

And lodging the complaint in the first place may be all the kick in the ass that your seller needs to get in gear and ship your gear.

Good luck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you dispute a transaction, the seller has x amount of days to respond, else they default, and you get your money back.

I got my money back, from a seller who claimed he was 'locked out' of his paypal account, and unable to recover the password.

so naturally, he couldn't answer the dispute, and I got my loot back.

haha sweet!

Hi Kyle - I'm sorry that I haven't given you the service that you expected, I truly am.

I thought the decals had shipped a long time ago, but when I was going through my records the other day I found your invoice.

I can't apologize enough for this, and will do anything to make it up to you - free bumper decals, etc...????

Please let me know.

I will be shipping them via USPS Priority Mail with Tracking tomorrow morning!!!

thanks!

rich

time to look for something i need
