Small wiring tip please.

Hey guys, first post and hopefully get some good answers.

So here's what I have for equipment

2x: Kicker 07CVT124 CompVT 12" Shallow-Mount Subwoofer CVT124

and

Rockford Fosgate P6002 Punch Series 2-Channel Amplifier

What's the best way to power these 2 subs with this one amp.

No I didn't buy, it was given to me and i'd like to utilize them the best without A)blowing up the amp or B)blowing up the subs.

Bridged mode on the amp to subs..? I'm a bit lost.

Hopefully this is in the right spot to ask. If not, please move to proper location.

Yes, I also looked VIA search for an answer... no luck.

Thanks for all the tips in advanced.

I would say wiring the subs bridged would be your best option. This will put a 4 ohm load on the amp and give 600. Just connect the positive lead from sub 1 to the positive lead of sub 2. Then run a wire from sub 2 positive to amp bridged positive. Right in sequence. Do the same with the negative. Sub 1- to sub 2- to amp bridged -.

Thank you both for your answers.

Slaking, if I did this I could overload the amp though, yes?

I stripped my truck of its old, smaller setup, and rarely would destroy my hearing with the volume being high. As for the sub remote level knob, I 75% of the time would keep it at minimum. Unless I'm continuously pushing the subs at full (rare like I said), I, in theory, should have a minimal risk of hurting the amp, yes?

Also, is it possible to make a single sub 2ohm? If I recall, you could if it has 4 terminations (2+ and 2-) and the proper wiring.

I notice 'RMS Power @ 2 ohms 300 watts x 2 channels' is part of the amp.

Thanks and sorry for any stupidity, just trying to learn as I go too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

His amps not 2 ohm stable bridged. The subs are s4 subs each. Which means 2 ohms or 8 ohms wires together if you wire 2 ohms bridged op. You'll blow the amp poof!!!!
