all out SQ? Go IB!
Infinite baffle, or isobaric?
Isobaric would be the best, but it takes two woofers.

If you're looking at the RL-p, check out teamquakecelica's thread with the TC9s. It's basically the same sub and will be a LOT less than an RL-pInfinate baffle in my car would be funny. I do like the TC OEM. How much dose a rl-p go for used.
Req isn't really IB.ask req.
yeah good point, i'm inbetween, i want to reproduce the original recording at 140+Req isn't really IB.
He just created a baffle to use what trunk space he has as a large (yet still relatively small) enclosure.
As to the OP; What is your definition of pure SQ? Most of the experienced people speak of true SQ subbass as a subwoofer that can blend seamless into the rest of the system so that you don't even realize a subwoofer is producing the bass; just enough output to properly reproduce the original recording not a bit less and not a bit more.
On the other hand, most amatuers/novices/street beaters refer to "SQ" as a subwoofer that doesn't lose it's composure while thumping at 140db+.
Which category do you fall into? Somewhere in between, maybe?
Wow, when did this become your thread?yeah good point, i'm inbetween, i want to reproduce the original recording at 140+
While I like the idea, I'd like to see how you propose to do that in a wagon.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
DD's sound like *** and aren't even close to being SQ subs. The real question is if you have limited space, how much space do you have?
The OP was referring to 1500's moron.I'm seriously surprised that after posting that, you still have your testicles. DD's are **** nice sounding woofers, and I take it that you've never heard a 9100 DD. That's a shame, it's one of the most accurate subs I've heard....
But yeah, DD's just sound like *** and aren't close to SQ subs. It's in the install asshat....

140dB is no longer sound quality, you cannot seemlessly integrate a driver that is producing sound pressure levels that exceed 40-50dB compared to the front stage, specifically midbass.yeah good point, i'm inbetween, i want to reproduce the original recording at 140+
