slow death of an alternator

Mine is currently going through it........only getting 11 volts at idle, complete with the good old "whirr-whirr" sound.....

Im surprised the original alt made it this long, 105,000 miles, and countless amps running at full tilt.

I guess the 20.1 finally did it in though.

Cant wait to see how loud the 20.1 is when I get some proper power going to it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Gonna get my current alt rebuilt and rewound to 200-250.

Anything in particular I need to request?

What do I need to ask for to have the alt kick on at lower rpms?
