ever since i upgraded my power/ground to 1/0, it stopped hitting like it used to. so im messing around with stuff and as i am my power wire easily slides out. so im like HMMMMMM maybe this is why. i also sanded down my ground to bare metal and what not. hook everything back up, and it still doesnt hit. my sony's seem louder. i might just end up taking it to a shop tomorrow. the head unit is a pioneer 6700 mp, sub is 15" xxx, amp is planet audio vx2200d

Take a dmm and make sure your getting proper voltage from the power wire. Also maybe use a dmm to check the voltage level coming out of the amp while playing a 45hz test tone. You know like your setting your gains.

Its gotta be something simple.

for real...definitly something simple...check all HU eq settings, dmm a couple cplaces down the power wire towards the trunk and see if there's any signifiganty volatage differance...

only other thing i can think of is if you dont have a HO alt, maybe with the bigger wire you amp drains your system alot quicker and thus way lower voltage, thus noticable power loss.....

when i did my big 3 my amp seemed to drain my elect stsem a bit quicker....may be the same problem for you

not haveing a HO alt FTL

Where was the wire loose?? at the batt? If so, im sure you had your gains turned up on your HU, and now they got reset...?? try checkin those out

all of my hu settings have been set correctly. bass +6 loud on max etc etc. ill take a dmm to it tomorrow. any possible solutions?

either way the shit aint loud

Be that as it may.......but the bass boost and loudness, and all other crap like that, is just going to cause you more problems.

If the only change you made in your setup was the wiring, then it has to be a simple solution.

You may have to pull all of your wiring, and redo it, just to be sure.

that happened to me before. I found out that the subwoofer was 0/15 on the HU because the HU reset when i disconnected the neg wire. Make sure your subwoofer level is up. My bet is that it resetted and your subwoofer level is at 0.
