slot port for a trapezoid

can anyone figure the dimensions of a slot port for a trapezoid box, i got dimensions, but havent found anyone smart enuff to figure it yet, and i definately dont know how.
It shouldn't be any different depending on the length of it. What are the dimensions of the box? and the port length.

see if this works for u,

height 1 14.5"

height 2 5"

depth 18"

width 35"

want it tuned to 35hz, this is for 4 RE 8's with slot port. if i figured correctly them come to 2.87cuft, the subs need 2.0cuft(.5ea), i figured sub displacement at .35cuft(.09ea), that leaves .52cuft for port, not sure if that is enuff or not, if not i can change the numbers some, thqnks if anyone can contribute to this post.

on that link a pic of a box should have showed up, the height 1 is going against the back wall of a nissan ext. cab pickup, height 2 is the front of box , depth is the bottom of box

exterior measurements, subs on angled part! sorry for confusing use, how much port area do 4 of these need, it seems that the slot port could be on the left or right side on the bottom of the side.

i asked how much port area for eight re8s when i ordered mine and they told me 60^2...so you should be looking for around 30^2 for four of them. i found it's easiest to start with port area when designing a box and thought this info might help.

Alright, I don't have time right now to run these equations, but its not difficult at all. It is the same for any slot ported box. you really just to decide where you want the port, set aside 30sq inches somewhere (Can be two ports) And the ratio should be atleast 8:1.

if you make a port along the back and bottom wall 3" wide by 10" tall...you got a 30 square inch port. make it with 3/4" mdf and have it's total lenght right at 28.5" and you will have a 1.86cuft box @ 35.5hz. (that was my first guess at putting #s into ath port calculator and got pretty close ::gives self high-five://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thats probably going to be a bit small for 4 of those suckers. Your best bet may be round ports.

where do you get a 1.86cuft box when it started at 2.87-.36 sub displace-port area, port area figured out to be, but i am probably wrong .37cuft
