slight burning smell..

Okay I've noticed this for a while but after I run my system for a while I have a very slight burning smell from the amps. I don't actually notice it unless I specifically political my nose down to the amps. They aren't unusually hot either. 4 12's powered by two 1800's. Help please! Thanks!!

might be running amps below there stable ohm rating, or there not getting enough voltage and over working themselves..

What size power ground wire? How did you ground the amp? Big 3 done? Model number of the amp would be best if possible.

So basically you haven't added any batteries, big 3, or any other upgrades to your car's electrical other than a capacitor?

What impedance are you running each amp at?

Low impedance, or low voltage is my guess.

Don't play your system until you get it checked out. You're risking damaging parts of your electrical system in your car. It's possible that you're running the amps at an impedance that they can't handle or it may be an improper ground. You need to get it checked out before playing it though or you may be spending some money that you don't want to spend. Good luck!
