SLC 265's right for me?

I've contacted 6spdcoupe already about purchasing these speakers. I was excited to learn they would work great off 100w rms x2 because that's what my current Alpine mrp-f240 amp puts out, thus saving me money and the headache of buying a more powerful amp. The only concern I have now is about the tweeters. I've read a few posts about how they are mellow and clear. This is fine because I listen to a lot of various music, ie: country, classical, rock, easy, r&b, rap, etc. The issue here is that I'm concerned that for certain genres of music they may not be as snappy and bright as I'd prefer. Right now I have alpine type-s 5x7's and some mb quart tweets getting 50w rms each. Anything will be an upgrade I'm sure. I just would like some input on this issue. Thanks.

Edit: I've seen comments on the rainbow power line cmx being brighter. Anyone know anything about those as of yet?

Thats a really nice set. My buddy is feeding his slc mid 100 watts and they sound terrific. Alot of people perfer laidback tweet so they dont get listening fatigue in a short time as alot of ppl tend to listen to it loud...

they are NOWHERE near as harsh as the MB's you have. I would go for them and not hold back.

i believe slc's tweeters are for a more natural, soft on the ears sound, where as some titanium or aluminum tweets are for the more bam right in your face type of rock like metal and stuff. I think both have there own plus and minuses. Either way its gonna be a big improvement.

If they sound as good or better than the Cal 25's, then you would have a justifiable upgrade from the Sound Lines IMO.

*Edit* Looks like the CMX version uses the Cal 25, which is pretty smooth.

i love my SLC's that i got from 6spdcoupe. sounds very natural, and gets pretty loud with the 100 watts i'm sending them. no regrets on the purchase.
