Sketch Up Question

im starting to design a box mock up with sketch up but i was wondering how do u make the lines think like 1/2 or 3/4 inch so it looks like the thickness of the wood i just made the whole thing and when i tried to make my port all it did was draw a line bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif does any1 understand my question?
