Stay away from all Skar products!

The company is run by an extremely shady owner who only cares about making money and doesn't care about customers.

See the discrepencies with skar audio thread in the thunderdome.

Skar audio is full of dishonesty and unethical business practices and they should not be supported or be given any business at all.

They pretty much the same sub, you are more likely to see a sundown than a Skar, this is the main reason I went with Skar and I did not regret the decision, my Skar VVX15 slams and whenever i go to shows people want to see and hear my subs since they have not seen or heard a Skar sub before.

If you are buying a pair, If im not mistaken Skar is still selling the sub with free box.

Oh yeah, i forgot you will get a lot of hating people when you ask about Skar, product is good that's all that matters to me, its not like your trying to sleep with the owner, but I didn't have any problem with the owner when I bought mine. So try to decide if the sub is good or not and not because people hate the owner. Its designed by Jacob, owner of sundown

They are not the same sub at all.

I have two skar 10s and I like them, they get loud and hit low.

SA is pretty good as well, would be louder than the VVX.

ahhh ive had both in the same box. skar vvx got real low but not very loud. sa 12 got **** loud and low but not as low frequency as the vvx. it depends if you want a nice ground pounder the sa is the way to go. if you want to flex everything in and around the vehicle choose the vvx. hope i could help.

People hate the owner because he:

edits posts and puts words in peoples mouths

ships out b stock in place of a stock

sends b stock to team members

they deny all problems with the product and blame it on user error or the shipping company

they wouldn't recognize the winner of a contest until they were put on blast and dragged through the mud for literally weeks

they buy nearly all the pre order sundown merch and sell it at full price

and while doing all of this, they lie through their teeth about it and deny any sort of wrong doings

throughout the past the owner kevin has had numerous screen names and hes a whole history of doing shady stuff before skar was even created.

I'm sure theres more I'm forgetting but should a company that does all of that really be supported?

and the sa and vvx lines are entirely different and were designed for different purposes. anyone who says they are the same or sound the same or look the same are total fucking retards

skars got a little more low end, the SA will handle more power and get really loud for what it is

Its a lot easier to find a used Sundown than Skar, not sure if this is negative or positive but its true.
