So I’m looking at your gear and thinking to myself why on earth would you be targeting a near $300 sub when that pretty much outbudgets all the other gear in your vehicle.

Idea: spend $250(or less) on a sub and don’t cheap out on wire over impatience.Then build a clean ported enclosure to the sub you buy and you’ll be able to achieve the “sq” you’re looking for.

It actually sounded pretty good on the m-500...in the sealed enclosure, but the output was lacking.
What dimensions of ported enclosure should I go with. I may as well try.

Welding wire is the best way to go for power cable. Royal Excelene is around $1.85 a foot in 1/0 size. Source your own crimp connectors and rca and you've spent about as much as a 1/0 cca kit.

Welding cable is the way to go for sure.

For lugs I buy 100 at a time from here.

A lot of progress happened on Saturday. I am now completely wired, except for the sky ofc 0 gauge coming today. I also am almost complete with my slot ported enclosure, for my type r. Today, I need to get my back seat installed, and the rest of the car back together, and done!
Thursday, I have an appointment at AMS to have the system tuned, as I don’t even want to try, by ear.

I've the VXF-12 installed 3 years back in my Honda CR-V. It's not a metal sub, but it does play well with my music (rock/pop).
