if they are actual small box subs, they'll make your nuts ache.im allergic to small sub boxes, they give me headaches
amen !I usually like larger enclosures; small enclosures and high power are tradeoffs for Hoffman's Iron Law I don't like to make. Give me larger enclosures and less power, any day.
x2, larger boxes tend to sound much better imoI usually like larger enclosures; small enclosures and high power are tradeoffs for Hoffman's Iron Law I don't like to make. Give me larger enclosures and less power, any day.
Just go with a single 10'' that can handle a good amount of power. One of the only 12's that will like that size box is a Nightshade, which is 8.5'' deep. I put one in my reg cab ranger and it was just too deep for that little truck. The 10'' BL was a great choice in 1.5 cubes.I want to do about a 1.75ft^3 ported sub box for one 12 in my truck(ive given up on trying two 10's ported). I would like to try different 12's in the same box tuned to 32hz. Some of them recommend 1.25ft^3 others close to 2ft^3. I was just curious what I should expect.

The JL 12W6v1 is 5.75" deep, Diamond Audio 12 D6 is 6.2" deep.Just go with a single 10'' that can handle a good amount of power.
