quick question, my mtx amp has 3 30 amp fuses on it. what size fuse would i need inline on the power wire?

usually a 60-80 with 4guage and any smaller wire than that won't be able to get the power you need to that amp, and will prolly blow whatever fuse you have in there currently

i am going to run 4 guage to it. someone told me i need a 100 amp fuse for that amp. so i can use a smaller fuse for it?thanks

I'm running 1500w on an 80amp. Should def be fine with 100. Come to think of it, i ran 1200wrms for a while on a 60.

100A fuse on 4ga. wire is ok...

Watts Divided By Volts gives you the size.

You could also just look in the owners manual.

100 amp is good for 1200watts @12 Volts or 1440 @14.4 Volts.
