I watched both births, and my wife didnt get pain meds for either one, man, woman get STRONG when they give birth.

And yes, watch your head after the baby pops out, there is a large sack of goodness that comes out along with special sauce!

Its not pretty!

Well, 8:12AM. Looks like her water might have broken. Nurse says it's good. Wifee's doing some exercises. Rocking the hips. Things seem to be progressing a bit. It seems like all signs are positive at this point. Sucks to see her in pain though. I think that's one of the toughest parts for me.

Well.... on the first one, I hid in the corner of the room while she was pushing, my mother in law said my eyes were like this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif .

Its scary the first time, I was cool the second time though, of course, I was around 8 years older during the second.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was in the same boat. There's a reason I did engineering and not any kind of medical field. Heck no. Not for me. Doctor just showed up. HOLY CRAP!!! They stick their fingers way up there to check for dialation! 6cm+ at this point and I guess the water didn't break. The doctor just broke it. Says that we might be done by lunch time. The doc seems to be pretty good though. Really calm and knows how to make my wife feel comfortable. Everythings seems to be going well.

She's kind of out right now. She has contractions every few minutes. I tried taking a nap, but I'm jumping up every couple of minutes cause she wants to grab my hand. I'm getting groggy and tired already, but at the same time, there's no way I'd be able to sleep through her moans. In fact, just had to jump up four times and grab her hand as another contraction hit her during this post. Even with quite a bit of synthetic narcotic she still ends up moaning real loud. Earlier in the day the chart that's graphing her would go back down to the bottom after a contraction. At his point it only drops back to the middle of the chart. I'm not completely sure what it's measuring, but I know that during her most painful moments it's at it's highest peak, so it's gotta be real painful by this point.

Looks like this is getting serious. Just wrote that last sentence and then my wife decided to walk around for the last half hour. How the heck do woman do it. They feel like they're about to die, and they go for a walk. I'm probably done until after birth. Ya, she was (is) all stomach. Seriously, most people wouldn't know she was pregnant if they saw her from the back.

2:42 PM - still in labor. This is not fun. I"m having a hard time staying awake. The only thing keeping me awake at this point is her yelling every few minutes and it is hard to listen to. There's just a bit of curvix(sp?) that let go. She's so close.
