Sitting in the hospital....

Waiting for my first kid to show up. My wife and I got here at about 1:15 AM (painful contractions started about 9PM). For the first 2.5 hours we had to walk around the hospital. At about 4:45 my wife finally dialated (sp? way to exhausted to care about it) to 4 cm and we were admitted to a room. So now, 5:45, waiting on my son. My wife's pulling through this like a trooper. It took some serious effort to get her to even come to the hospital. She's not getting an epidural (doesn't want it) and just got a bit of pain medicine. Hopefully she'll be able to sleep a bit, but her contractions are just a few minutes apart and pretty painful obviously. So here I sit, the nurses finally finished with all the questions, vitals and other stuff, and I'm going to try to take a nap (so is she). I'm exhausted. I can't even imagine what she feels like. I'd normally be getting up for work in about a half hour. Guess I should have taken a nap after work today instead of working on the tweeter pods I was making for my current install.

Oh well, sleep is overrated....

Actually warned my wife I was going to do that, but I'd like to stay married.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Congrats, welcome to the world of sleeplessness

Sleep when the baby sleeps, it may be a short period of time but its all you will get. Congrats as well, we had our daughter one year ago and its the greatest thing in the world to see someones face light up when you enter the room after a shitty day of work.

I feel sorry for your sleeplessness to come, I suffered through 2 daughters that kept me up through the night, my oldest was not as much of a cry baby as the younger.

Keep bottles preprepared so when you wake up, you dont have to do as much prep work, be prepared to get throwed up on , keep your mouth CLOSED when playing airplane with the baby after feeding, babies have good aim when it comes to throwing up formula (ask me how I know) .

Breast milk is salty, ask me how I know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif , Congratulations on your baby man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
