Siren sound comes from Speakers....

So I just installed a new head unit (Pioneer avh-p4000dvd) and I also ordered a new amp (cadence 3002) to power my front component set, because the other one blew on me apparently during installation somehow. See thread: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372299

So, I was so happy that everything finally worked, until I try to close my car door, and when I put pressure on the inside door panel, an EXTREMELY LOUD siren noise, increasing in pitch (like "BOOOOOOOOOOP" if that helps) sounded for about 3 seconds. It happened two more times, seemingly when I pushed against the door panel. I'm scared to even attempt to turn on the radio again, in fear of that noise blowing my speakers. I think it came from my speakers... I don't know where else it could've came from.

Has anyone heard of this problem? WTF is happening?! UGH //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Thanks in advance for the help

did it sound like electricity arching? maybe the postive speaker terminal is too close to the door.. and when you pushed it got close.. doubtful but possibly..
If I know what you mean by electricity arching, I don't think it sounded like it. It literally sounded like the beginning of a fire siren increasing in pitch. And at full volume.

This is also on my drivers side door where it happened. My battery cable goes through the trim of that side, but the speaker wires both go through the trim on the passengers side of the car.

What you are hearing is a feedback loop... a noise signal that's not supposed to be there is being introduced into the system.

Don't mean to scare you, but this happened when the internal grounds on my Pioneer HU RCA's fried... but since it's a new unit I wouldn't go there first.

1. When installing your setup, did you ever accidentally contact two of the RCA jacks together with the system powered up? Seems like a simple thing but it can cause permanent damage to your RCA grounds.

2. Are the speaker wires in the door well insulated from each other? Even one stray strand of copper touching the other terminal can cause oddities like that.

3. Is your HU itself properly grounded? If you used the factory harness, try grounding it to another location... factory grounds are sometimes unreliable.

4. Are you using a Line Output Converter? Improperly installed LOC's can act as "microphones" and pick up ambient noise and cause a nasty sound.
