Single Sundown X 18 WALL Team GP

I tell ya....that 3rd door certainly comes in handy!! Thumbs up to Chevy whoever came up with that great idea. That jack can be relocated to another place.....such as under the bed of the truck or on top of the spare tire.

I was looking to do a few 8's in my extended cab. But def don't mind seeing a big build in one!!

My plan is to pick up an extended cab like this after Christmas for a DD. Cool little trucks

Got mine for less than 2 grand. They can be found for about that price. I'd post pics but this site is picky about pics.

Not sealed off, here is the "just the beginning" results, there is cancellation due to not being sealed off, but for a musical non burp box, we are at a decent start i'll link the video in the next post, this is my SPL LAB USB meter, which is registering 1 DB lower than the Termlab magnum

It seems like all your build peak 40+hz? What's the score like at 28-30hz?

These are musically tuned setups I've been posting. Tuned in the mid 30's so there will be that general peak a few hz up, these guys listen to a wide variety of music and don't want to be limited to all 20% slowed music. 28 to 30hz would be considerably under tuning on these setups. The enclosure design I roll with is based off of the team Mates listening habits/ style of music they enjoy, that way they aren't always stuck searching for things that sound good on it.

I'll update the build log of the suburban doing 160's at 30hz when I get a chance

how many cubes is that along with tuning/port area? I got a pair of DC level 5 18s that are itching to be played.

Hell yeah! its all about that wide music variety!

I'm not sure. It's my buddy Kennys truck

Interesting concept tuning to music preference rather than for the subwoofer being used. Not unlike the way a burp box is designed. Because if you were actually building a "musically tuned" setup, you would design it for bandwidth based on the driver being used. You touched on the user listening to a wide variety of music... but you actually limited the range of music the enclosure can play with the tuning.

It's peaking at 42hz because you manufactured a peak there with the tune (kinda like people do with a burp box). As evidenced by the model of 6.5cf with a "mid 30's tune"

*Note the relative F3 of 34hz.

If you want a peaky box, that's fine. And if the guy is happy with it, that's all that matters. But justifying the design by saying you didn't want to limit the music choices is nonsense.

Also... don't you sell those SPL Labs meters? Why is it do far off of the TL? A whole dB is a rather significant disparity.

I'd like an extended cab gmc Sonoma zr2. That's my goal haha

Kinda ironic I was looking at those too on CL. A few of them were 4 cyl tho...I wanted v6 4.3 Wanted the power in case I needed it but at the same time a little easier on the gas mileage. Still same truck diff name. Ran across a few nice ones tho...

They aren't cheap! I'd take a gmc or chevy. Not too particular. The 4.6 would be preferred because why not lol

Ya...2200-2600 ones I saw. Were even in the mid 90's!! Out of my league for me....2k was my max budget. I think I scored a really good deal.
