Single Sundown X 18 WALL Team GP

William came by a few weeks ago with this brand new sundown X 18 he acquired on a trade and had a few sheets of wood in his S10 extreme so my first thought was single 18 wall.

Reasoning, need a lot of cubic feet, and so the driver and passengers are not smashed into the dash.

The end result, both seats still remained in the same comfortable position.

Heres the beginning of the build, its not finished yet as he lives over an hour away, but its getting there.

Cutting it up and mocking the shell, double MDF all the way around

test fit, we went for total MAX slide in dimensions so had to be sure we could continue to assemble the shell outside of the vehicle

tuned in.

Just because I have the same vehicle, minus the "extreme" part...just an LS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your busy doing some builds there OP //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Note: Fully musical build here, not a burp box, wide frequency band, 28hz to 55hz

This is 6.5 cubes internal, dialed in to the driver specifics, running on my old (not very old) team mmats 4000.1 wired at 1 ohmWe clamped this amp at 4,300 watts in the lanes

yea man, i have another big build i need to update too,

being an S10 extended cab owner, your going to like this one

next day, time to start sealing it off, we were short on wood, so we made a makeshift third baffle/ sealed off panel, but there were still large sections not sealed off, you'll see in the video i post, goal here at this time of night was to do what we could and go see some numbers

(notice its night, we do this till about 4a.m. ship orders and take calls during the day, big builds at night lol )

Heres where we add an older Northstar SMSAGM400 which fits perfect between the port and sub, and easily run 4k RMS on bone stock electrical

Seats recline back perfectly

wiring it up, you can see the gap where we did not have enough remaining MDF

we will be making a new panel that is fully sealed off, we just couldn't purchase another sheet this time of night and it was all about hearing some bass this night

heres the HUGE non sealed off gap, again nowhere to get more MDF at this time, this is the perfect recipe for cancellation, but we will see where its at now, so we have a good ballpark when its 100% sealed off

Not sealed off, here is the "just the beginning" results, there is cancellation due to not being sealed off, but for a musical non burp box, we are at a decent start

i'll link the video in the next post, this is my SPL LAB USB meter, which is registering 1 DB lower than the Termlab magnum
