Single SQ sub on a $500 budget?

If it were me I would grab a Mag v4 to try out. No I haven't heard it, but I've read many reviews, and it sounds like a winner in the SQ crowd.

Power handling isn't a power requirement. The 1000 watt rating on the Mag is the limit of RMS power the driver can handle in 1 ft^3 sealed. You can ask any member on here (there are lots of vocal people on the DIYMA forum) that have purchased one how it performs off of 250 watts on up and they'll all comment on how much output they get out of it.

IMHO, it's nice to know you can beat on the driver a good bit instead of having to worry about blowing it up with 400-500 watts.

Ok, so I've had the Alpine MRP-M500 recommended for the IDQ, since the IDQ comes in D4. However, the Mag v4 only comes in D2, so I'd be looking for a 1-ohm stable amp for around $150-200. Ideas?
