Single SQ sub on a $500 budget?

I'm looking to put a single sub in my 2003 civic coupe. I listen to mostly rock, so I was thinking about a sealed enclosure. I definitely want good SQ. I want my sub to fill-out my music, not dominate it. Not sure whether to go with a 10" or a 12"? Also need an amp to go with it. Can you recommend a sub+amp combo for $500? Thanks!

The rest of your budget could go towards the enclosure, which would be a sealed one for the SI Mag V4.

Most ppl say SQ but they really mean SQL with a good setup. Most of the good systems they have heard are probably SQL and they relate that to SQ. When you hear a good true SQ setup you are not sure if they have a sub since it plays such a small part in the overall freq range. Go with a low tuned box and a RE SE 10 or a IDQ V3 10 and get a great front stage. This way you can turn down the sub and go with more of a true SQ but you can still crank it to rap music or loud rock when you you get the mood. You can do this with a sealed box but I would go with a sealed 15 or two 10's, one sealed 10 or 12 will only get so loud.

Mag V4. Awesome sub, has been the favorite sub that I have heard so far, it just sounds so clean and natural. Also, it is only 5.5" deep and only needs a 1 cube sealed enclosure so you can get quite creative with where you mount it.
