Single Ported or Dual Sealed

I honestly searched through 30 pages and could not find anything on this.

I'm working on a budget/stealth install.

The amp is an Alpine MRP-M350 200rms @4 or 350rms @2 I don't even want to tell you guys what sub/subs it would be because you will laugh, I know its cheeseball so we'll just leave it at this.

Which would have great sql? single in a ported box (~30hz) or 2 in a sealed box.

Again sorry if it's been covered it seems like it would have been but I search and searched and found nothing.

IMO single ported will be approximately the same as dual sealed and will take half the power

not too sure, might wanna check in the subwoofer section and more info like the type of sub and stuff will be helpful

right now im into Single ported set ups. a good 12 ported will run with the same 12s sealed at half the cost and watts, also one REALY good 10 will be able to get as low as a 12 more the likey take up less room then a ported 12 and still hit hard. but for me ported what every is always better then 2 sealed. also w ported 10s will take up APROX the same room as a ported 12 and yeild more BANG. all ove these are rules of thumb and can always be changed just my $.02

my bro's daily driver has the same amp you have with a 12W3v2. the ported box he has it in was built by JL for a 12W1 but he took it out and put in the W3.

by some stoke of luck he now has a hard hitting set up.

You wouldn't think it hits hard but it rivals some other setups ive seen with twice the power.
