Single Loud 8"

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with burping a single 8" sub with good results. No port wars, but on dash or kick.

I have a 8" RE sub and have been thinking about putting it in a fart box and seeing what it can do. Anybody know how much it can handle on a burp?

No, but........ it is possible to blow them..... I had one running off the sub channel of my JL 500/5 and definitely fried the VC by rockin too hard..... I'm pretty sure I was in fact clipping the amp, so, I bet it could handle a bit more, but.......... I'm not a basshead either.

the dd 8's have been burped. theyre very similar to the aq sd2.5 8's. im sure someone has burped the rli/tc1000 8's. i know mine got pretty loud with 1kw to the pair. box was 1.8 @ 32hz iirc.

I did a single 8" Trubass in my Jimmy with 250 watts and did a 133.9 at 44 hertz. 44 hertz on an 8 doing a number is priceless. Watching peoples mouth drop is better yet. My next surprise should be interesting.

i've burped my rl-i8 on multipule setups, the best in a tl box, did a 139.9 @ 34hz off ~1700wrms and a factory gm h/u in a 06 trailblazer.

kicker did a wall with a single 8L7, broke 150. can't remember all the details though, s-10xcab i think.

8s can be loud, lol. very loud.
