single dd1508 vs 3 RE8???

well i gues the best answer for this is to try it myself...

but if it was one to one... 1 1508 vs 1 RE8.... for both SQ and SPL application, build quality and overall performance.. whats your pick?

Between the two choices you can't have both. The DD will get LOUD for an 8 but to me they sounded like poo. Three re8's ported will still throw down and sound good.

DD are good in SPL... based on my own experience with their lower end 1010series... but yeah.. then again they are limited to just that... they do sometimes lack the tightness and may sometimes sound muffled depending on the music i play... but flatout SPL, they are great...

I'd go 1 1508. I have 4 of them, and honestly I think they sound pretty **** good, and so have ever one that has listened to my car. Good and loud. 1v1 I would for SURE take a 1508. 1 re8 can't keep up IMO

well the thing is i only have 1 1508 and i can't afford to buy some more... there's a good deal on the classified section on those RE8 and i am definitely considering of buying them... but i just don't know what to expect from them and they're already used...

thanks for the offer... i think its worth to try the REs... ill keep my 1508 and see how it compares to the RE... who knows, i might like either one...
