Single cab truck system

just bought a 1977 ford f150 as my first truck and i was wondering if anyone could help me decide on an audio system, my budget is about 1000 dollars. i don't know that much about systems. i was thinking about getting "Kicker S12L5 12" L5 1200 Watt Car Sub Dual 4 Ohm" and "Kicker ZX750.1 R Class D Amp 750 Watts 2 Ohm Stable ZX Series" for the amp and sub, dont really know what to get for the head unit and speakers.

agreed , how much room are you willing to loose or use behind the seat . also what size speakers ,and or are you looking for components ?

I am willing to use/loose all the room behind the seats, i use the truck to get to school and back and ride around with friends. For the speakers i was thinking 6x9 or 5x7s depending what fits in the door. Would it sound all rite to put the sub and 2 speakers behind the seats and 2 speakers in the door?

If your truck already has speakers in the door, I would just use the same shape as those. That way theres no cutting, unless you get deeper speakers; then that might be an issue. How much room do you have behind your seats?

and how tall are you ? I did a box for another member here a while back ,and put a 15 behind the seat in his dodge
