Topic says it all. if 1-2ohm sub draws as much power as 2-4ohm subs wired for a 2 ohm load then either setup would sound the same right? or is one of those setups better?
if not, i'd prefer to go with a single 2 ohm sub to save trunk space.
I also have another question.
would a Kicker solobaric L5 hit harder than my current JL Audio w3v2??
I'm going to upgrade my subs and want something that hits harder but not boomy or muddy. If nothing else is going to hit harder, i may either get another W3v2 to match or get a single W6 2ohm load but am intrigued by kickers square sub and i know the oldschool solobarics were really loud back in the day...what do you guys think?
ok now i have a 3rd question while i'm here.
would i be better to have 4-8 inch subs or 2-12"'s....or a single 15". i guess what i'm asking is if multiple smaller subs would hit harder than fewer larger ones....and what if i used a second amp to power four 8 inch'ers compared to a single amp on a 15".
sorry if that isnt very clear. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif thanks in advance
