Single 15" Sub?

Power handling of the subs you go to is going to make a big difference in whether you get louder or not. I went from a pair of RF P312s, to a 15" Mojo and got WAY louder. P3s are rated at 500w rms each, but the Mojo is 1500w rms. Had to be very careful not to hit the P3s with too much power. What's more, I definitlely prefer the sound of the 15" over the 12s. Plays stupid deep and and can handle gobs of power. I have a Sundown 1200 on it now but have considered going to the AQ2200. The cone area advice is correct, but big difference in a pair of 12s getting 600w each and a 15 getting 2000w. Either go big 15 or upgrade the 12s.......

Why not get two higher power 12's? ie, two BL's or something off an aq2200.

my brother Rocky59, is runing two AQ 12 with each sub on aq2200 in his ext, cab truck and it gets nasty! for a daily driver

i hada type r 15 on an aq1200d in 4 cubes..and i was pretty happy with the result...still have the same sub and put an aq 2200d in there now...with a good box still and i noticed a dif...so id think with two 12s ina good box like u say u have than more power to those 12s might sound alittle louder

def go mojo. the older style, the newer one cools down jus a lil better but the older style can handle gobs upon gobs of power, i had one on my fusion 1600 watt. at 1 ohm and that sh!t ran **** hard. amazing daily driver, and never had probs out of it. jus gets a lil confusing when wiring the quad 1 ohm. throw that sh!t in a nice box and u def can hit way up there. and if you dont like a certain model just buy a newer or older basket and your good to go

thinkin the 2 aq hdc 12's... anyone know who can hook me up with a good HO alternator to support the aq 2200?
