Single 12 or 10. Cheap 300 watt`

Im looking for a cheap 10 or 12 which I would build a ported box for. I will probably use a Viper 300.1 for it. Nothing too expensive since its only for the lady. Im probably leaning towards the 10 because the box will be smaller. Unless the 12 works well in a smaller box 2.0 or less.

There's a flat-cone e10O on sale over on ICIX that would work great with 300w...needs a sealed or IB alignment, though. No ported.

Well i thought if i did a low low ported box it should be fine and it would be a little more watt conservative. Im also thinking about sealed tho. Really depends on what sub I get. I know some subs **** sealed.

I think nicely of their HUs. But HUs don't offer much of a chance to add color to music. I've heard everything from top end to Dual style as far as speakers and subs go. Maybe a more trusted route?

dual 4 ohms so 2 ohm final. 300 watts from the viper amp @ 2 ohms. Perfect combo. Now to design the box for it if this is a good deal. What do u think? Where can i find the recommended specs?

walmart's got some good subs, even radioshack...make sure you give em 1000W rms though and youll be set.

do u guys think the refurb viper amp will be fine? There are good amps right? I just never orderd from ikesound be4. I dont have much experience with them.

Yea I hope so too.... reminds me of mexicans who always say they get cheap *** subs that are 1000 wass (yes they pronounce watts "wass"). god...

Anyways back to the subject, viper amps? Refurbs from ikesound?

yea i cant deny that it wouldnt be a bad pick, its just that im kinda trying to try something different, plus i dont think a 12 cvr is $42
