Single 10 and Single 12?

After toying with the idea of 2 10's vs 1 12 I thought has anyone done one 10 and one 12?

I came across a deal on some subs I bought 2 10's and 2 12's. I also prefer to use sealed enclosures.

So say a sealed stand alone SVC10 and a sealed stand alone SVC12 on a single class a/b mono block amp at 2 ohm? The subs and amps are Boss specifically Boss Cxx10 and Cxx12 the amp is A Boss Audio AR2000M. And yes I plan on turning the gain on the amp down hopefully.

kinda answered my own question. Short answer it is possible but not a good idea. I am going with 2x10's.

I have.. i ran asingle 12 in rear substage @32 htz on an XFL 12, and up front I ran a Pair of Dayton 80 rms 10s @45 htz under the front seats

Not a good idea to use different sizes.

yeah stick with the 10's and so u know that amp only does 400 rms.. the 4k tested at 900..

No, it was at 1 ohm. 1000 Boss Watts = about 100 actual watts.

yep like he said they do between 10-20% rated power.. for $200 u can get a 30 pound cab 1600 amp that does over 1600 at 1 ohm.. or my tiny ppi p1k tested over 1100rms $169 very dependable or twisted sound 1k (probably does 1200 or so) $219 several good amps under $250..

1 ohm. Your 2k will barely make 250. Stay away from junk brands.

i ordered cab for friend have seen heard and held it.. i know it's heavy but i didn't weigh it and not my fault cab shows 30 pounds

yes it was and it still works he don't know what happened except some light on the amp don't work now or something., he's 30 miles away so don't see him much..
