Which is more practical to the average consumer?

What I think is move of an argument over which is more economical is the fact when people go out and say I am going to get a bike to save money on gas.

Ok, yes, but what about your bike payment? Or your other vehichle payments if you have them. In my case and reason why I am not riding around on a HD Sportster right now is due to car payment, paying insurance on two vehichles right now as well. So where would I be saving? I wouldn't, not till the bike was paid off.

Also I say it depends where you live on what is more economical as far as the bike thing goes. Even if you live down south and winters are not all that bad, you still have rain storms from time to time. And if you say you just put on a rain coat and go to town, then no........no you do not, unless you have no other form of transportation.

I can't believe we have 11 retards who think a bike is more economical than a car. Tiger Bass, I am not surprised for some reason.

Actually they think it is more practical. Which for them it may be, however that wasn't the question I asked. I asked for most people what is most practical. A **** tank can even be more practical in a very specific condition/environment. A car is more practical in more circumstances than a bike. I do wish I could justify a motorcycle purchase right now though. Out of all the vehicles I have owned, I miss my bike. Fast cars have nothing on motorcycles when it comes to fun.

#1. my bike payments are $150/mo and insurance is less than $30/month. I was spending more than $300 on gas for either of my cars. YES BUYING THE BIKE WAS A MONETARY GAIN.

#2 A VRSC gets between 35 and 45 MPG on a good day and thus would not save you much if any plus a Harley is VERY overpriced.(not saying that I wouldn't one day own one, but they are)

#3 On rainy days I do just put on a rain suit and go on my merry way:fyi: and I do have 2 other forms of transportation

I was saying what I mentioned based if you had other payments on your rides. For me, I pay 300 a month on my car and 114 dollars a month for two cars in insurance and maybe 150 a month in gas per month if that.

So I wouldn't be saving any money, especially if I had a 150 dollar a month more bike payment and around 50 a month more on insurance, then gas in the bike.

Also I laugh at all the retards who ride a bike in the rain, especially in heavy down pours. I mean are you that desperate to not be able to afford some gas in your car...............or do you fail at not having a car, period?

About the HD I wanted. It was used, but 2008 and selling it uber cheap. Wife said don't have enough life insurance, lol! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Just sayin'.
