I'm ordering the Alpine UTE52BT right now so I can move on to other components. It should be easier to do comparatively. I don't mean to be a cheap person, but I want the most bang for the buck. If anyone has any reason that this could be the wrong choice for a budget SQ system, please speak, or forever hold your peace. Also know that my system will get upgraded as time goes on and money warrants.

not a bad choice, only difference is the 2 volt pre-out vs the 4 but as long as you set your amplifier and head units gains properly then you should be fine.

Not sure if it has time alignment though thats an important factor. Look up on what time alignment technology is. It makes a huge difference in sound quality. Pretty sure it should with the tune it app.

I've bought my wire and batteries, and am trading for an Ampere 125.4. Just waiting on things to get here before I start the tare-down/install process

after all of that and the OP ends up with a head unit that lacks time alignment.

not saying it won't sound good, because the other tuning features are great.
