simple wiring question

ok, so my heater core is fuked and it's cold as hell. i bought a crappy little heater that plugs into the cig lighter and i wanna get another because it doesn't have much output. i know i could fix the heater core but that requires a lot of work, and it's too **** cold for that.

how would i go about running two of these? will the 20a fuse in the fuse box hold up w/ 2, or should i pull some new wires for the second one? thanks for helping

no way to guess w/o knowing how much current one of these heaters draws

but 10A doesn't seem like much for something intended to get hot.

I would probably try to run a dedicated power wire.

it's 13a 12v input.
you think i could up the fuse to a 30a and be good?
Just use a 40 amp so you don't have to worry about it blowing.

I wouldn't use a fuse any larger than what's supposed to be in there. Manufacturers use wire only big enough for the circuit, in this case 20 amps. Using a 30 amp fuse and drawing 26 amps though a circuit designed to handle 20 amps is asking for trouble.

just fix the heater core? not that bad
when it's 20 something outside? i have to pull the steering column, both front seats, center console and then the dash. fix the heater core, and then re-assemble.

i will do this when it gets warmer, should have already done it. this is at least a 2 day project
