simple subwoofer question

I have 3 15 inch subs in a ported box duel 2ohm right now I'm scraping up the cash to get my new mono amp but in the meantime I want bass so I have a Infinity four channel amp I'm using the front channels on the components and wanted to bridge the rear to one sub at 4ohm

will I be hurting my other two subs by running power just to this one

no.. the other two will basically act as little PR's... and im assuming the other sub wont be getting more that 500rms.

Tuning will be WAY off. If anything bridge to all 3 subs at 3 ohms

I was thinking about that too do you think the amp will be able to handle a 3ohm load

cant tell ya till you do it. will it? maybe.

every amp is different. my us acoustics amp will handle a 1.2ohm bridge, when its rated for 4ohm... but thats that amp

It will be 4+ ohms after box rise but it still might be hard on the amp. It would be like running a sub amp at 0.75. I don't think you'll have any problems as long as you aren't clipping the signal

And if you've got a DMM measure the ohm load on the subs, it may not be exactly 3 ohms because lots of subs have voice coils with impedances slightly more or less than they say

is your box one common chamber or is it seperated into three different chambers?
