Simple Question

I have a soundstream vga 800.2

2 X 200 RMS 4 Ohm

2 X 400 RMS 2 Ohm

1 X 800 RMS 4 Ohm Mono

Plan on pushing my 2 12" rSD's with this for a little bit. Now the question is will it be better to bridge them to 800 @ 4 or seprate them and run it @ 2 ohms. From what i know ohms is resistance so the less the resistance the better so 2 ohm would be better? i just dont know for sure tho somebody set me straight here.

It won't matter power wise. I would bridge it so each sub plays both channels, not just left sub plays left, right sub plays right.

I forget if you can set that amp to mono mode or not. I sold the 1600.2 a long time ago.

if you run the subs in series, then bridge the sub, you've got half as many wires going from the amp to the subs, so that may be a good thing.

Was planning on going that way with things, but just wanted to know if there is going to be any audible difference running it seprate?

it'll make no difference.

if the woofers are in seperate chambers, run one of each channel.

if they share a common chamber, then run them in series, with the channels bridged.
