1200watt amp pushing two 12'' subwoofers max peak 1600watt

1200watt amp pushing two 10'' subwoofers max peak 1200watt

1st one. well depends what the rms. try to get around there a lil over maybe. but use it as a refernce number to get an amp for them

what are the RMS ratings of both the amps and subs? peak watts are a stupid marketing scheme

10s : 300W RMS Power Handling Per Sub

600W RMS Power Handling Per Pair!

12s : 400W RMS Power Handling Per Sub

800W RMS Power Handling Per Pair!

Amp : 1200W Max Power

300W x 2 RMS @ 4Ω

450W x 2 RMS @ 2Ω

600W x 1 RMS @ 4Ω

run the amp at 2 ohms and go with the tens. you may even need a bigger amp.

Either one would work fine. You wouldn't notice an audible difference between having 600w and 800w on the 12's.....

But it sort of depends on the amp. If that's a "600w RMS" amp that really only outputs 400w............

Also assumes you can obtain a 4ohm mono load with both subs.
