Simple Question about an Ipod connection

Hey Everyone,

I know nothing about car audio equipment, so forgive me if this has a painfully obvious answer. I have had to take over my wife's 2004 Saturn Ion with factory equipment. I want to know if there is a simple way to hook up my ipod to the stereo? The radio emitters all **** bad and aren't worth the money (actually, I've only tried the cheap >$50). Is there any way to just hook up a cable or something to the stereo?

Thanks in advance for your time.

I don't know what kits are available for your car so I won't bother with those as you're just as capable as me to research those. If you're comfortable opening the radio and soldering, I'm sure you could find an input to tap into and wire a 3.5mm aux jack into it. Like I said, it requires tearing it open and also plenty of time and research to find out exactly what wire does what inside it.
