how am i an idiot? am i wrong? bottoming the sub out is not good, how does that make me an idiot by NOT bottoming mine out?

wow dude ok here stick with me now..when the sub is broken in the suspension will be softer. when the suspension gets softer it allows the excursion to increase. meaning it will go in and out further. if it goes in too far it will hit the backplate and bottom out. so by logical thinking...whats the result?
