digidash hit the gas...
I have equipment in my signature.

If I turn the system on the subs make a constant rumble like I plugged them into a wall socket and a highpitched noise comes out of the two fronts.

I just rewired the two amps to 4 gauge wire and I installed a custom made cable that has two pairs of rca, a remote turn on , and 2 pairs of left and right high level with positive and negative each. I tested everything with a multimeter and it has conductivity. Each end was soldered and then heatshrinked so the connections should be solid. I tested the preamp rca output on the head unit and it seems okay. I tested the preamp rca output on the crossover and it seemed okay. If I plug straight into the amp without the digital crossover, there is NO awful noise and NO sound either. So in short: no crossover = no noise and no sound at all. ZERO OUTPUT. With crossover: Lots and lots of awful noise.

What else can I test, I just wasted the past 12 hours of my life on this piece of shit.

The system worked fine on friday but I wanted to rewire because I thought that my wiring before was awful, lots of buttsplices and inappropriate gauge stuff. The cadence amp is brand new and the pioneer amp was working perfectly.

Well, I guess it seems pretty obvious that something is wrong with your RCAs. Try running your old RCAs through the car (just over seats or however is easiest) and see if your stuff works with the old RCAs. If it does, you need to look over your home made RCAs and search for a problem.

Cut the old rca's so that I could use their ends on this wire.

I guess I might try and plug my mp3 player into the amp's input Ill let you know how that goes.

I also rewired the pioneer to civic wiring harness and I have no idea if that could be the problem as well but the rear speakers which are powered by the head unit and not the amplifiers seem to be fine, I just usually leave them disconnected.

I feel stupid. I forgot to put the ground wire on the rca's so I just had the main wire only.

I put in a set of new rca's and it worked fine thanks.
