Simple box question

I've never really messed around with a box or wiring subs and i was just wondering... I'm wiring two SVC subs in parallel so i just have the one + and one - leads coming from the first sub.. now do I connect those thru one terminal on the box, or do I do one wire thru each terminal, or doesn't it matter?

Also is each wire just 16 gauge speaker wire between subs and to the terminals? Is the material in the positive different from the negative?

Thanks!

I like to land multiple wires on the terminal, soldered to the terminal. Parallel means + on one sub to + terminal on box and + terminal on the other sub to the same + terminal on the box. Same process for negative. I prefer only one wire per sub terminal with SVC. 16awg is small for subs, I use 12 awg minimum. But if you only have a few hundred watts, 16 will be ok.

No difference in material, but some wire has different colors to identify polarity, polarity is crucial, keep track of positive and negative, I use red heat shrink or electrical tape for idetification.

Ok thanks the wires on my subs look pretty old. The subs are only 150 watt rms each so 16 gauge will work I guess. I have a 2 channel amp and I am going to bridge it, so all i have to do it + from first sub to + of second sub to + on box terminal to + bridged spot on amp, then same for negative?

Or do I go + from first sub AND + from second sub to same + terminal on box, having 2 wires in the + terminal on the box?

So in theory am I only using 1 of the box terminals?

either way bro, what keep hope is suggesting and what you wanna do end up with the same result. I always parallel your way voice coil to voice coil to box/amp terminals. but yeah you'll only be using one of the box terminals just as long as one of the sub's + and _ are connected to the other sub's + & - it will give you a parallel result whether its connected at the voice coil or at the terminal does not matter, just as long as the connection occurs before the amp.
