Silverado Bose system has different color wires?

I wanted to hardwire my system because my friend cut the harness. i realize i am probably going to have to run all new wires, does anyone know about this? I have an 05 4door Silverado w/o onstar. Please help!

if you are gonna run completely new its easy

from battery to head unit (fused) - yellow wire

your gonna have to find a wire that is switched, such as a cig light or so - red wire

ground should be easy - black wire

the speaker wires are easy also

I would get different color/type of wires for the front and different for the rear

without on star makes it really easy

that sounds easy, how do i connect the wire to the battery, and should i use different gauge wire? also it says i need a speed wire, where could that be found?
