Sickest tools evar!

Knowing what you are talking about > not.

Knowing how to use tools > Having fancy "the best ever" tools.

Don't tell me that I don't know what I'm doing. I mean I've only build 4 house's in a 16 month period. They only cost at the least $300K what would I know about tools???? Not like I use them everyday, not like my job depends on my ability use tools and my construction knowledge......

Using your own logic against you....why are you paying so much money to run a 20.1 for a sub amp???? I mean you could run alot of other amps and get the same power for alot cheaper right?

I never said you didn't know what you were doing. I don't know you. I do know that nowadays to be a "builder" you don't have to know jack shit. Your subs do, but you don't. You wanna debate me on building knowledge of fine finish work (which is what these tools are for) bring it, don't be suprised when you get your *** handed to you. I do know another thing, and I don't really give a **** if you do or not, there IS a difference in using high quality power tools. I use what makes my job the easiest and gives the best finished product to my customer. If you can't afford it I understand that too, hell not alot of people can. That doesn't justify bashing them because they are "expensive". If you think those tools are expensive you don't know shit about construction.

Why do these super-great power tools have neon green accent plastic?

edit:typo
Probably because thats their company colors and it is brand id. Ya know just like Dewalt's crap s all yellow. And Black n Decker is orange. And Bosch is blue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I'm using a 20.1 b/c I'm always upgrading my setup and I wanted a amp that could handle low loads.

I never said they were poor quality tools, what I'm saying is you don't need to spend crap loads of money on "fancy" tools to do good quality work. I can use my tools to make just as nice finished work as anyone with tools that cost 2x as much and that are brand new. Working for my boss we NEVER I mean never had new tools unless we bought them ourselves. All our stuff is probably 20 years old and yet we still make and do very high quality finish work.

Your right, you don't know me and I don't know you. If you were from around here and where into construction you would know my boss and know he is one of the most respected contractors in the area. I try and learn as much from him as I can b/c I know he is one of the best.

All I'm trying to prove is that

Knowing how to use tools > tools themselves!

Festool makes some sick stuff.

Shure they look retarded but since when did you a buy tools on how they look ?

Ive seen them being used on this old house and free form furniture.

Expensive tools wont make you a better carpenter. Experience and practice makes you better. However, thats not to say expensive tools wont make a veteran carpenter better either.

Black cat or white cat, all that matters is that it catches mice.

That came from flips sig btw

Now that I can agree whole heartedly with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif

A great tool in the hands of someone who cannot use it to its potential is indeed a waste of money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ok guys, I realize im new here, but this applys to pretty much everything. When there is something that you really like or do as a hobby/profession, usually you want the best equipment possible. Pretty much all of you guys want the best speakers, EQ's, subs, amps, whatever. Most of which when you get up into the higher price ranges make a difference so small that the 'average' person cant even notice the difference.

This guy isn't trying to tell you that all of your other tools ****, hes just saying from his experience he really thinks that these tools are woth the money, and that they are excellent for finish work etc. (Paul please correct me if im wrong).

Its all personal preference, you guys really like your audio stuff, as do I. Just becasue you can settle for the 'norm' when it comes to tools doesnt mean you guys should blow him out of the water.
