Yea, that'd be my only fear with SI. We all already know where DD and AQ is at. The turnaround is horrible, but they do make some of the best products out there.

i really want to hear a mag but everyone where i live only has sony and kicker. but soon enough ill hear a AQ and ill right a good review on it. i wish a had the money id buy a mag and compare them.

i took them less than two weeks to build my hd 12 and he called me up and told me its on its way and i received prompt emails from dj the whole time, i email si to ask how much a mag would be and never got a reply

That is because Nick's email works about 20% of the time. That is why you never got a response. It has been a problem for awhile, but there must be something wrong with the people they get their hosting from.

will they both sound good while still loud at the same time?? I am much more into spl, but I do want good SQ. I think i am leaning towards the AQ unless someone pushes me the other direction

i jsut came across this thread, and i own a pair of dd subs and have been exposed to many thoughout the years in spl competitions
i would take the si for a couple reasons

1 it doesnt take a month to get your drivers ( u can order one and have it to ya in a few days )

2 its a small company so your supporting a couple individuals that truely believe in the business

3 the owner of si is a good guy and is pretty cool to hang with

4 si's sound alot better than any of the aq/dd subs ive heard

2) What is DD, a monstrous corporation that hates the industry that it's in?....bag.

4) It's probably good that your ears are clogged, if you cleaned them you might open your mouth even more.....weed.

Everybody calm down. SI, DD, AQ, IA and others are all good companies and all make good products. If everybody liked the same thing there would only be one company. I don't think you all would be talking that way if you were in the same room.

We are small companies and we each take pride in what we make; we don't all do things the same way but you don't see the owners taking cheap shots at each other. I look at other companies products and often I am very impressed with how they improve on older designs and/or create new ones. Small companies have made design changes that are soon copied by the big players as well as our Chinese friends. DD has been around a long time and its designs and inovations are some of the most copied in the world. The same is true of many of todays small companies.

Some of us are not interested in going mainstream. We like it when we only have to answer to our customers, employees and our selves. We can do it our way; I don't care to answer to a marketing department or bankers. I am sure most of the small company owners feel the same way.

Some small companies like to stock inventory because they buy from build houses and lead times are often not met. Some of us build our products as ordered because it works best for us. Some of us use a dealer network and some don't. We all do what works for us. The important thing is we force the big companies to make a better product and everyone gains.

I think one of the worst things about this business is when a small company builds a good name and product, the big companies swoop in with the big bucks; buy them out and the product goes to hell in a handbasket.

how much power does the 20.1 put out on those Mags? and you have them in a 4= cuft box"? is the box dual ported? I have a couple of Mags and I have 2400 watts to feed them, do you have the outside meas.of the enclosure will be helpful to me

with the factory battery, stock alt, I'm getting around 2500 watts outta the 20.1

the box is 4.5 cuft after displacement, 33hz tuning..

my box wouldn't be the best to give you measurements from, its custom aligned to fit in the car..
