Shrinking digital pics size for..

I have a few .. I have

Dazzle photo editor ( which is what i'm trying to figure it out on

Dell image expert

and, Arcsoft photo studio \

Any of those descent and now that i have the pic loaded on the photo editor page where do i start

its actaully quite easy to resize images, but ive never used any of those so i cant help you, i use adobe photoshop - and it has a save for web feature that i can optimize the image to a certian file size with minimal degridation to image quality, and resizing the image is easier than that.

you need to change the height and width on the image (im guessing its a 3~4 megapixel camrea) to something like 640 [pixels] wide and 480 [pixels] tall. and if its already small, you need to change the resolution of the image to 72 pixels per inch.

there should be options in there to do that somewhere.

good luck.

Gotcha, 2 more questions for you..

When i change the size of the pic im on, will it stay that size or will it be the original size it was in my folder (almost 1.5 meg)

and,for the size method it gives the option to resample ( with different filters ) or resize, Just wondering the difference..

Thanks and sorry for the q's the photo editing and photoshop is something i never use .. Thanks matt

Yea, this is pissing me off.. The original pic was 1.9 mb, 2500x1400 res ( close to ) took it down to 480x640 it was still 900 kb .. Then the pic becomes all pixled.. Am i doing something wrong or missing something >?? thanks again
