should i wire my amp?

just get a solid basic understanding of how a sound system works, and make sure you know terminology and have a basic understanding of how to take apart parts of your car. It's really not that hard. All you really need to do is connect 3 wires... plus you'll save a bundle on parts.

find a local car audio place. Usually prices are about $60 install and $30 for wiring kit depending on gauge. Circuit city is a rip. If u know how to pop ur cd deck out of the dash then u can wire your amplifier. It's simple.

I don't know about that man, I have seen plenty people come through the shop I work at who had "a friend who knows how to install stuff" or whatever put their gear in, and have seen people with power wire run through the fender and then through the doorjam into the car... or who tried to burn two wires together because apparently the concept of soldering was misunderstood. Bottom line, if you are not comfortable working on your own car, then by all means pay someone else to do it.
