I'd see if you can hear it first in your car before you do it.... but if it's a distance trade, only do it if you truly want to. I'd probably keep the Diamonds, but that's me.

we are both in Myrtle Beach. its one of my buddies saying he is trying to sell the L7 and get some d3"s so i was just sitting here and tryin to figure out what to do lol. is the L7 a spl sub or a sq sub?

I'd probably say SPL. I've owned a CVX12, not quite the same thing, but my BL sounds better when it's loud compared to my old CVX, it seemed to have very little SQ. Test it out in your car before you trade off. Just because it may be loud in his car doesn't mean it will be loud in yours.

l7 is spl, depends what your looking for, if you want spl go for the l7 if you want sq stay with ur subs

I really like the quality of Kicker products. The D3's are entry level compared to Kickers higher line.

it pretty much metered the same as mine min did 143.1db and the l7 done 142.8 . to be honest they bout sound the same to me. mine are in a 96 olds cutalss sl and the l7 15" is in a 98 eclipse.
