Well today I was in the final stages of installation. Everything was hooked up and in the car, and this ONE time I forget to unhook my negative battery terminal, I accidently short the amp out. I plugged the ground in to the battery and battery in to ground. Fuses instantly blow.
The amp is a cadence txa6004 (four channels). I replaced the fuses, and now only channels 1 and 2 appear to work. I've tried switching around the speakers and rca's, and they only work on 1 and 2. I had been planning to run a sub bridged on 3/4.
So did my shorting cause this to happen? Any idea if i'm just not wiring correctly? I'm pretty sure I followed all the wiring diagrams correctly. Iv'e contacted JasonPaul from cadence to see what he can do about it...i'm super bummed. Basically took my life savings to buy all my audio equipment (18/student/no job).
So if anybody has an idea as to what I can go about doing, please let me know.
