I have the same sub as well. Keep the tuning at 40hz, it sounds best at that. I've tried 32-34hz and the response really craps out if you tune low. You may gain a LITTLE low end, but your high end extension diminishes and it is noticeable.

40hz is perfect and you'll still get the lows. What bass_lover1 is true in general, but this is a unique sub and those rules don't really apply to it. If you don't believe me, watch the vid in my sig. All the songs being played get low and if you want more lows, get more power. I'd also suggest a larger box, like 4.5ft3 and aero's.

well i guess ill keep the tunning around 38-40hz

increase the box size...

and increase port size.

How much are aeros and wheres the best place to buy them?

my HU only puts out 2 voltsso my gain in about 3/4 up

bass boost is up no more then 1/2 way

and sub woofer output on my HU is at 6 out of 15

sounds good my h/u does 5 volt witch is why i went with eclipse!

my gain and bass eq are about three fourths. i also have my non fader on my h/u at 6 out of 6.

What are the songs that are playing in your video? The only one I recognize was back it up.

Best is subjective, It's not that I don't believe you with what you're saying, I do because obviously you use the driver and I don't, however a lower tune to you may appear to have the response 'crap out' but thats probably because you were used to the 40hz tune, and the larger peak that will come with it compared to 32-35 hz. If he's looking for flatter response, a low tune would be a better option, but if he likes the way the driver sounds in it's current state then there really isn't a need to change the tuning frequency.

Sorry, but no speaker is above the laws of physics, the rules still do apply to it. I'm not saying 40hz is a bad point, but in my eyes thats too peaky, but then again I'd be after the flattest response possible, so I'd personally aim for 32hz but this is from my standpoint.

Then again, I don't listen to rap or any bass music whatsoever, so in my case this sub would be useless to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
