Shop f*cked up my install

It's a long story but basically after going to the shop to install my 6.5" ID ctx's and nine.2x to power them they blew the right tweeter(they say it was like that out the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif) my left tweet is making a static noise. Also, are the vocals suppose to come out the mids or tweets? cause there comming out of both. i think they messed up the crossover too.
i am sorry for your trouble

not sure how far you live from me as i am in WPB FL

if i can ever offer you my services feel free to use them

It's shops like this that absolutely ruin business for the rest of us that actually take pride in our work.

And who gives a shit if ID is made in china as long as the product is good
Something bothers me about having my stuff made in china, or anywhere in that part of the world for that matter. There is a reason it's made there - cheap labor. I would rather pay more to have something built robust to last.

You're confusing inexpensive labor with unskilled labor. It's hardly the same thing.

sucks it happened but you should buy ur equipment where u have it installed. they will give you better deals the more you buy and the more often u go there.
if u bought there equipment and there was a tweeter blown they would install another one right then even if they fugged it up...

ya need shops and to keep them in business you need to suport them and they will cover you!
What nonsense spews from the bowels of your face:rolleyes:

Your missing my point. When you buy from a shop your buying more than just a box, your buying service, expertise and thier warranty for their work and anything you buy thru them. You don't get any of that when you buy online from a discount vendor.
I also buy my gear online and install myself, I encourage others to do the same. Buying your gear online and having a shop install it is a recipe for disaster for everyone involved. If I ran a shop I wouldn't install your ebay crap unless I bench test everything and charge you up the ying-yang for every minute I spend dealing with you. To the point where you would have been better off buying the gear from the shop.

You don't buy a steak at a grocery store and take it into a nice resturant and ask them to cook it for you because their steak is too expensive. Then expect them to fix it if the steak is tough or doesn't taste good. Either buy the steak on the menu or stay home and cook it yourself.
x2 . . . its almost an inslult when someone brings ebay shit into the shop and wants u to put it in, wut we werent good enough to buy from but we get to put your used swap meet crap in ?

Dam, isnt that place new? How much did they charge you for the busted install?
It's not new, just a new location. $100 to install the HU, speakers, and amp. I even provided the power cable and speaker wire, dash kit,and all the wiring harnesses. Not to mention, it took them 5 hours to do all that.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

don't install outside products in your shop if your all anal about it.. problem solved

if you offer a service it should be provided professionally

any product made has a certain "quality control" it should go through. it is up to the COMPANY to decide how strict that control is. the buildhouse will only build what the COMPANY tells it to. If it requires more labor, then the price goes up but you get a higher quality product (most of the time).

just because it is made in China does not mean it sucks lol....

Why do people buy shit online then take it to a shop to install? Makes no sense to me. If you buy it online, install it yourself.
The shop cannot possibly warranty the gear you bring them from ebay, maybe it was blown out of the box, maybe they blew it because they didn't like you.

Yes, vocals come out of both, the mid freq's come out of the mids, and the high freq's come out of the tweeter.

You have a point, I had some high end equipment installed by a reputable shop, but it still turned out less than expected, because the shop was not famaliar with the products I presented them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It is extremely important the shop not only be well versed in general installation, but also be famaliar with the specific products.

Whats the Fvking problem with installing outside equipment, if you don't sell it? Work is work, why would you charge a customer extra because he didn't purchase the gear from you, thats bull shit!!! You should be happy they choose to partonize your shop. Shops normally have a standard rate on installation, something like 60-90 bucks per hour, regardless if its your merchandise.

You sir, are the very reason I try my best to install equipment myself, you give honest, ethical shops a bad name!!!

Honestly, even the good shops don't sell the highend products like ID. So, we are just surpposed to settle for lowend bullshit?

It's a must to purchase from fourms, ebay, or the direct company. Unless, you want SPL, Audiobahn, Aquistiq, Kicker, or memphis.

I wish I knew of a shop that sold ID, RE, Sundown, RD, Zapco etc...
