Shocker audio subs...WORTH the money????

I am thinking of buying 2 12" Shocker Audio (Shocker 3's subs)..I like everything I see..They seem to be good durable subs.That will perform well with music...I also like that they are upgradable...I am not REAL familiar with the subs and wouldn't want to waste my money..So if you have anything to say about Shocker3's..subs..please post it..Thanks

They are starting to develop a fairly large following, and look fairly beefy. Other than that, I have no idea!

Shockers Can handle the abuse they area good spl woofer. Mind you that most of there woofers have minimal SQ, but this Shocker 3's series is supposed to be the exception. I guess it has some SQ but I still wouldent count on it being a whole lot.

Are they worth the money? That depends on what you'd consider paying for the loudest SPL sub out there.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Someone will set records with these subs, it's only a matter of time.

As far as being a musical sub, is anything really musical at 160+ db's? Painful might be a better word for it......If you're looking for something to slap in your daily driver and impress your friends, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. These monsters are made for SPL comps.

They have been setting records. Remebember the Big debate that happened in Amherst NY between RF and Shocker and the mic being off 1db?? But these were done with there Super Extreme sereis subs. Now the Super Extreme 2's are oriented for SPL only. Now the shcoker 3 is also spl with some sq, im sure its no worse than say a DD9500 series. But they would need side by side comarasions to make that judgement.
