Shitty 1st box. Characteristic?

Is the first box supposed to be shitty? Because mine REALLY is. The guy at Lowe's cut my shit the wrong way, and I did the best I could. And what I mean by shitty is really fucking shitty. Is this characteristic of first box builds? I don't even think that I want to post pictures because I would probably get banned from the forum. It's. That. Bad.

i got mine cut at home depot and a few cuts were off. had to do some sanding to get it to line up right.

Yea, it's definitely too dark to take pics right now. The caulk is drying, let me wait until tomorrow. Shitty port holes, shitty sub cutouts, shitty lineups. I even tried fixing the panels with a circ saw, but everything is awful. Pics tomorrow.

my first box was TERRIBLE and it still slammed. did every cut with a jigsaw, will never do that again.

you learn and get better over time and when you acquire the proper tools. remember, clamps are your friend

You can't always trust the Lowes people to cut your stuff right. Some will care, others won't. If you ever get a chance, invest in a table saw.

Don't be worried about your first box, that's how you learn by messing up. You should have seen my brothers first box...it was made out of 1/4 plywood and just had a hole for a port. He dropped in a radioshack ten, didn't like the way it sounded...so cut another port! Didn't know WTF he was tuned to, but actually did make the box sound a little better.

Anyway, don't be discouraged by your first box...and we wanna see pics!!!

who cares if someone laughs, we all been there. Everybody on here doesn't even build their own boxes so at least you gave it a shot. I'm 50+ boxes in and still make mistakes from time to time.
